#GivingTuesday 2018

#GivingTuesday is a day of global giving, celebrated on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Last year on #GivingTuesday, through donations both big and small, 473,000 people helped raise over $45 million to support over 47,000 organizations.

Kairos Headquarters will launch their 4 week campaign leading up to #GivingTuesday in late October. We encourage states and advisory councils to also get involved through Facebook donations.

The percentage of overall U.S. giving on #GivingTuesday through Facebook grew from 4% in 2016 to 15% in 2017, and 75% of donors were first-time donors on Facebook.

Click Here for Instructions on How to Create a Facebook Fundraiser - Please remember to put your Kairos plus Advisory Council or State Name in the Fundraiser title, or you may not receive your funds.

Facebook does not charge a processing fee for donations to nonprofits, 100% of the donation goes to charity. However to classify your doanation, please remember to put Kairos plus the Advisory Council or State Name in the Fundraiser title, or you may not receive your funds.

Facebook is offering new tools this year including donation matching, recurring donations, and an easy thank you feature.

And great news! Facebook is partnering with PayPal to match donations up to $7 million for U.S. nonprofits. While this may not mean you'll receive a match, you just might too!
